- What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?
- Annual plans are billed as a single up-front charge — you pay one year in full and get the equivalent of 2 months free compared to paying monthly. Starter annual: $468/yr (vs $588/yr monthly). Pro annual: $1188/yr. Scale annual: $2988/yr. You can switch billing periods from the Customer Portal at any time.
- Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle?
- Yes. Stripe prorates the difference automatically. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- What counts as a render?
- A render is one successful MP4 output. Failed renders — whether from a template error, worker crash, or timeout — are automatically refunded to your quota. You only pay for what you get.
- How does Scale's overage billing work?
- Scale includes 5,000 renders per month. Beyond that, each additional successful render costs $0.05, metered by Stripe and invoiced at the end of the billing period. You'll never be surprised — your billing dashboard shows overage accrual in real time.
- Can I cancel any time?
- Yes. Cancel from the billing portal. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current period, then downgrades to “no subscription” — you keep access to your past renders, but you can't submit new ones until you resubscribe.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes — the Starter plan includes a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Sign up, explore the full API, render up to 200 videos a month, and on day 15 your trial converts to paid Starter ($49/mo) — unless you cancel first. The trial is once per workspace; Pro and Scale don't include a trial. If you need to evaluate Pro or Scale specifically, contact sales.
